Silver Anniversary - 2008

2008 heralds Ensemble's 25th Anniversary and the group thought it would be fun to ask the writers of "The Deadly Medley", Iain Wotherspoon and David Watson, to concoct a new piece to celebrate the occasion.

An application was compiled and submitted to Awards for All and, to the right you can see the result. This is the first time that Ensemble has sought external funding for a musical venture and we are delighted that the work we do in taking music into the community and supporting charitable organisations has been recognised in this way.

The piece is now written and is entitled 'Come Spy with Me', a tale of missing plans and secret agents set during war-time in the quaint and peaceful village of Winkling cum Flounder. Once again the writers have used well-known tunes to weave thier story so the audience is challenged, not only to unravel the plot, but to identify the tunes!
